Foundation Activities

The Smuggler’s Family of Companies had a busy year assisting with charitable causes.  Some highlights of 2010 are below:

• July 2010 – Laishley Crab House and Goal Post Grill raised money for a local free clinic
• September 2010 – We took 28 Smuggler’s volunteers to the Homeless Coalition where we did various tasks inside and out
• October 2010 – Harpoon Harry’s and Goal Post Grill raised $400 for St. Jude
• November 2010 –  Harpoon Harry’s and Goal Post Grill raised money to purchase 300 turkeys for needy families
• December 2010 –  Harpoon Harry’s and Goal Post Grill adopted 7 children each off the Salvation Army Tree and Laishley Crab House adopted 3 children.
• December 2010 – Harpoon Harry’s and Goal Post Grill collected over $300 in food and personal hygiene items for the Good Samaritans
• December 2010 – Ron Evans donated his Charity Change jar that he donates to a local needy family every year
• January 2011 – The Smugglers employee donation program will have raised and will deliver $100,000 to 26 local food pantries. 80% of smugglers employees donate $2 per week out of their paychecks to fund this program
• Ongoing Campaigns – The Goal Post raises money for the different charities such via guest bartenders and golfing tournaments. Harpoon Harry’s is recycling all aluminum and donating the proceeds to charity
